The major project in December was the Summer School.  This is such a worthwhile project even though it comes at a time when staff are already very tired.  The Summer School ran as a Junior Town Council project and junior town councillors participated as volunteer leaders.

The Volunteers camp for this project ran from 5 – 7 December at Wortelgat.

The last major event of the year for Enlighten was the Merit Awards ceremony which was held on 2nd December.  This is our opportunity to acknowledge individuals who have done excellent work in the various projects or who have contributed to the promotion of the work of Enlighten.

A small end-of-year Staff Function took place on the 3th December for staff, trustees and spouses to celebrate the end of a very rewarding year.
